Not sure about you, but I hated 7th grade.
Not sure about you, but I hated 7th grade.
It was the worst.
Particularly 4th period gym class.
Not cuz I didn’t like PE.. I did!
Especially when we played dodgeball.
Do they even let kids play that anymore?
Anyways, my stomach would sink when class was ending.
‘Cuz that meant I had to go to the locker room and change.
Which meant I’d be right next to Chris.
Which meant I was getting put in a headlock, having my hair messed around with or shoved into the lockers for a bit (on a good day).
The bad days were spent as the butt of jokes which echoed across the entire locker room, sometimes lingering on throughout the day.
And ya see Chris was a bigger boy so didn’t feel like there was much I could do.
He wasn’t super muscular or anything.
Just taller and a ‘lil ahead in the prepubescent development cuz he had been held back… twice.
I never wanted to be ‘bigger’ so I could whoop up on ‘em.
I just wanted to be invisible.
So I could be left alone and do my own thing, have some peace ya know?
But I guess cuz I was the skinny dorky guy I hung the proverbial ‘pick on me’ sign around the neck.
Hey, the world can be a cruel place.
It’s even crueler if you project weakness (intentionally or unintentionally).
Do the lions hunt down & chase the fastest zebra of the herd?
No way.
They pick off the slow ones.
The weak ones.
Life is exponentially harder at the bottom.
You gotta fight extra hard to RISE up and fight even harder to stay there.
Otherwise it’ll keep digging it’s boot nice and tight on your neck.
In case it isn’t obvious, this goes way beyond tossing some weights around on a Friday afternoon.
That’s where A Spartan Rises comes in.
Yea, you’re gonna stack on more lean muscle and burn fat more effectively with Spartan Inferno training.
But more importantly you’re reach deep inside and stroke those fires necessary for permanante change.

PS – Clayton C. posted this in the Spartan Stronghold:
“Look yourself in the mirror, and tell yourself be to ready for a change. Not only in body and mind, but also, in behavior. I feel the whole point of all of Ryan’s teachings, motivations, and the hand picked “visitors” is to not only get in amazing shape, but also to become more alpha. Top dog if you will. (Think animal kingdom) soon you will notice stress is no longer a negative but rather a challenge.”
