Sneaky Jedi Mind Trick to Unlock Your Potential

Had dinner with one of my Spartans last night.

Mr. Joe K -> the road warrior.

He shared a great tip I wanted to pass on to you.

You see, at 60 years of age Joe isn’t guy who was willing to give up and wither away…

Not in the least.

Told himself he was dedicated to entering this new phase of his life with my maximum strength and health.

While we were chatting over some rare filets topped with grilled shrimp he said to me,

“You know Ryan, when I’m training my mind is telling me no no no… your too old… you can’t be putting on muscle anymore.

But then I look at the ladder, and it tells me yes, yes you can.”

Bingo.

The Spartan Strength Ladder he’s referring to is one of the key mindset training components you get in A Spartan Rises.

Too often YOUR MIND tells you NO NO NO.

Whether that’s in building muscle, making more money or approaching the girl of your dreams.

And sadly, too often we listen to it.

But here’s my challenge to you.

TODAY – say YES YES YES.

Just as an experiment… to see what happens.

Don’t worry about the outcome.

What’s important is saying yes.

Open yourself (and your mind) to allow new opportunities and experiences to enter your life.

You’ll will be amazed at how quickly you rise to this new potential.

Try it.

Prove me wrong.

You’d be the first ;).

Forward!

Muscle is Attracted to Speed

Looks the Redskins are close to sealing a deal with DeSean Jackson.

(One of the fastest wide receivers in the NFL today.)

Ran a 4.35 second 40 yard dash.

Phew – that is quick!

And in many cases speed is everything – beyond NFL football.

Nobody races to be last to marketplace, last in line or get picked last on the kickball team.

Shoot for first.

One of the biggest advantages to first is that because you’re ahead you can make mistakes, correct them and still come out on top.

Compared to someone who is so far behind any setback and they’re toast.

It’s de-motivating.

It’s also what kills lotsa fellas at the gym.

They have these complex rubrics cube workouts where they have to lug a binder to the gym just to remember what to do, and watch 20+ minute videos on how to perform the exercises.

On top of that the training sessions take 1.5 − 3 hours.

HUH?

Who wants to sink that much time?

Not saying it doesn’t work… but c’mon man let’s speed things up here!

That’s what I teach in A Spartan Rises – how to build lean muscle mass FAST.

As in by week 2 you’ll notice changes, guaranteed.

Why?

Cuz we don’t mess around with all the FILLER.

No complicated workouts or exercises.

No elaborate schemes or fancy set/rep superset combos.

No flashy nonsense.

Just the bare essentials that get yours your body producing muscle faster than you thought possible.

It’s amazing how fast you can go WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE BREAK.

Just like Ed found out:

===

“I have to say that the Spartan training program is deceptively simple and yet extremely effective.

By making every set goal oriented I am driven to push myself. Even though sometimes I fail to go up another rung of the ladder, there is always the next exercise or next training session. I (and my wife) have seen gains all over; balanced gains.

Perhaps you should put a warning message about clothing fitting tighter around your thighs, arms and chest.

I only wish I have started this 10 years ago.”

===

Yup.

Muscle is attracted to speed my man.

If you want more it’s time to turn it up.

Let’er rip:

Cryptic 2000 Year Old Muscle Growth Advice

Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.”

-Sun Tzu

Was re-reading The Art of War and came across this lil gem.

One of my favs.

This book was written wayyy back around 6th BC by high-ranking Chinese military general & is STILL considered one of the ultimate military strategy playbook in existence.

Many other communities have adopted its wisdom as well: marketers, sports coaches, entrepreneurs.

Basically ANYONE who has to deal with competition in some shape or fashion.

And guess what?

When you’re trying to transform yourself into a man with a physique that commands respect… you ARE competing.

Every day.

With YOURSELF.

Killing and wiping out old, weak habits that tear you down.

Instilling new strengths and disciplines that build you up.

It’s a fight every day.

Anyone who says different is lying to himself (but the mirror never does…)

Just hitting the gym everyday or “eating healthy” are good starts don’t get me wrong.

But they’re TACTICS.

Without the strategy… they’re useless.

Strategy tells you what tactics to use and WHEN.

In order to get the maximum muscle growth from minimum input.

That’s the strategy I used in A Spartan Rises.

That’s why guys like Jay in Virginia see fantastic muscle gain:

===

“I did the 10 week program after a spartan rises instead which went well… Ive put on 12 lbs and am at 11% body fat. I love the results, thank you for the program.”

===

Combine the strategy of building muscle FAST with the only the effective tactics that move your towards that goal and suddenly you don’t have to spend hours and hours in the gym to get ripped.

You spend less than one.

It’s real simple.

Does take WORK… you’ve gotta lift the weight, sweat the sweat, pay the price.

But you wouldn’t be reading my e-mails if work scared you now would ya?

Muscle Advice I Stole From Arnold

So what is the RIGHT way to train for muscle growth?

Whenever I’m looking to learn something new I find people who have actually DONE it.

Got the trophy, went through the battles and learned the lessons.

One such example is Mr. Arnold.

Ya know, the guy who started the whole bodybuilding craze.

Won 7 Mr. Olympia titles.

He pointed out,

“American magazines wrote about the split routine as if it were my secret: it become the big thing.  Everybody thought that was how I’d grown as much as I had in such a short time…”

…but I was doing heavy squats, heavy bench presses and this provided some of the foundation work of my body, which has always made me appear strong.  Certain bodybuilders lack that look. They have good bodies but don’t appear powerful. The reason is inadequate foundation training.”

Bingo.

His foundation was STRENGTH.

See when you train for STRENGTH (geez more strategy stuff!) the whole game changes.

No more wondering if your training is ‘working’ cuz now you’ll see progress every week vis-a-vis The Spartan Strength Ladder in A Spartan Rises.

Making this simple switch in your training means you’ll making progress up to 10x faster.

Just like these Spartans discovered:

===

Your Spartan training has transformed my approach to fitness and for the first time in my life, I have been able to maintain a workout routine for over a year and have seen incredible results and progress. I have lost over 30 lbs of fat and gained about 15 lbs of muscle!

-Levi M.

With Ryan’s inspiration and coaching  I was able to redesign my demanding business travel existence and actually support my strength and fitness objectives… which by the way as of today…. at age 60, I have six pack abs, 10.7% body fat and more muscle than I had in my 30’s….  thanks to Ryan Masters and the Spartan program…

-Joe K

From the age of 18 I have been tall and skinny. From this age I have tried to gain muscle and have always failed.

I was going to the gym and lifting the wrong weight with the wrong diet.

I never seen any results and just put it down to metabolism.

7 years later, i then started the spartan training and after 7 weeks I am bigger than I have ever been.i have gained 14lbs and enjoy going to the gym.

Thanks for a workout that doesnt get boring and is simple to follow.

-Craig F.

How to Unleash a Flood of Testosterone

Here’s something you’ll find interesting:

One of my beliefs is how important it is to use your natural advantages when it comes to building muscle… especially if you have limited time to train!

Not talkin about genetics or body type.

Those are irrelevant if you’re following the right training strategy.

I’m talking about the great male driver, the fuel of our fire…

The POWER that separates a bull from a steer (who ends up as messy BBQ on a 3 year olds’ picnic plate.)

What is this almighty force of nature?

TESTOSTERONE.

Thankfully we’re shipped with it built in.

The tricky part is unleashing it with your training.

There’s a right and wrong way to do it.

Two parts we gotta address.

Part I. – Recovery

You saw this in The Spartan Body Blueprint.

What is it that makes sleep so valuable?

There are much grande benefits, but one of the biggest is this:

More Growth Hormone and Testosterone production – NATURALLY!

These two fellas are responsible for telling your body to BUILD MORE MUSCLE and they do their best work while your snoozin’ away.

Of course, if you cut your sleep time short… you cut your anabolic production time short.

Growth hormone is released shortly after deep sleep begins and can sustain a peak of up to 3.5 hours.

That type of quality production is what you’re after for packing on lean muscle.

To hit that, you want to average 8 hours of sleep per night.

Part – II. Training

Lotsa wrong ways to do this with your routine:

* Using incorrect number of sets / reps in your workout

* Performing popular exercises that reduce testosterone production (d’oh!)

* Breaks too long or too short during your workout

You may be thinking, “geez that’s a lotta stuff to pay attention to…”

And you’re right, which explains perfectly why so many guys train hard but see little to no muscle growth on their frames.

There are more ways to do it wrong than right.

Just like taking a road trip.

There are plenty of “roads” you can travel on, but only one will get you to your destination the FASTEST.

For the “how tos” of turning your body in a testosterone overflowing machine checkout A Spartan Rises – where I show you how to get testosterone working for you FAST.. in a simple, step-by-step method.

Nothing better than that.

Unless you (GASP!) hate building muscle.

It’s Not the Size of the Cat In the Fight…

Dude.

Watched the craziest video yesterday.

And I’m not the only one…

It’s gone viral and hit 7 million views in one day.

Little 4 year old boy is playing on his trike when suddenly a local dog attacks him from behind.

Latches onto his leg and starts violently shaking the kid who is helpless at this point.

Suddenly, like a bat out of hell from nowhere a cat comes leaping into the dog’s head.

A full on body-check that knocks dog off the boy, who precedes to run away from the SMALL cat who just rocked his world.

Cat scares him off then goes back to the family.

Wow, it’s a crazy sight.

Especially considering “in reality” that dog could have taken one focused second to chomp down on the cat for a quick afternoon snack.

The dog was bigger and stronger by 5x.

Yet it was scared off!

Why?

Because he lacked the will to fight when things got tough.

Doesn’t matter that he had the physical capacity to win… he lacked the mental tenacity to see it through when challenged by the cat.

What “dogs” are chomping down on you in life?

Are you lying there helpless or fighting back with everything you have?

It’s not the physical strength of the man in the fight, but the inner strength that matters.

It just so happens if train progressively (as taught in A Spartan Rises) you get BOTH.

Follow these 3 Rules for Guaranteed Growth

Ever trained in a commercial gym?

Then you probably already noticed this.

And maybe are even guilty of it yourself…

I saw it allll the time.

‘Bros’ lifting upper body all day long, but rarely (if ever) training lower body.

Whenever I walked up to the squat rack I had to clear out the cobwebs and tumbleweeds.

So you have all these Captain-Y’s walking around… decent upper size but eensy tiny legs.

And they’re wondering why they can’t get past this plateau.

Well they’re not followin ze growth rules:

I. First off – start training for raw strength.

With brute strength comes guaranteed total body muscle gain if you follow via A Spartan Rises method (even if you’re a “hardgainer”).

With muscle gain comes automatic fat burning.

Yup.

Your body starts melting away fat 24-7.

Muscles become a sponge that suck it all out.

So you don’t have to freak out about drinking a glass of wine or eating a burger.

II. Second, you train the whole body.

Just training the upper body or doing mostly isolation exercises is a nice recipe for mediocrity.

Your body operates as a COMPLETE SYSTEM, one unit.

Not individual pieces that you can adjust like some dial on a radio.

That means squats.

Wah wah wah.

Get over your hatred for it, and get big.

III. Finally, you give your body the right goods.

Meaning the best foods your muscles are craving for growth.

If you’re stuffing down the wrong stuff (or the right stuff at the WRONG TIME), again… back to mediocrity.

Get the right food, at the right time, in perfection portions and you’ll see the biggest jump in your training progress since Day 1 of lifting.

It matters that much.

Now these may seem like minor details to you, but its the details the matter.

And the details that separate Spartans from being average.

I talk a lot about the finer details in A Spartan Rises.

You’d be surprise how many (but how simple) they are.

That’s why I email ya all throughout the program… so you don’t get overwhelmed and actually absorb the training tips.

You probably won’t believe what I ate last night.

You probably won’t believe what I ate last night.

Started off with some hot & greasy boardwalk pizza, followed by crab fries and orange creamsicle ice cream.

Finished with my all time favorite… box of Peeps!

My cousins stared in disbelief.

Wanted to know how I could eat like that.

It’s simple really.

You don’t have to give up life in order to build a ripped masculine physique.

Do you have to make changes to your current lifestyle?

Yes.

But for some reason lotsa guys mistakenly think if they want to get ripped they have to say goodbye forever to their favorite foods, and must spend all hours of their day in the gym.

I’m guessing this belief stems from the few meatheads who profess all they do is lift lift lift and that’s the only way to build muscle.

Thankfully they’re wrong.

I’m not saying what they do doesn’t work, I’m just saying you don’t have to spend your life in the gym and nibble on lettuce and tuna to get a shredded body.

You do have to work – SMART.

When you train smarter… as in:

Building a muscular base that burns fat 24-7 (so you can eat what you want at times)

Increasing your bodies natural production of testosterone and growth hormone by using compound lifts as prescribed in A Spartan Rises Climbing the Spartan Strength Ladder

You’ll discover what all the other Spartan graduates like Steve B. have found:

After following your program religiously here are my results. I’m a 5′ 7″ 23 Y/O former force recon marine, I started weighing 138lbs at 4% body fat. Now 154 lbs 4% body fat. Bench 155 x6 to 255 x6 (also followed 3d chest program for results). All other lifts had very similar gains. Couldn’t say anything but great things about your program. Thank you for this life changing information over the past weeks.

You Don’t Need Complicated Workouts

Saw the new 300 flick this weekend… twice.

So, definitely a worthy sequel.

And for me it was interesting to look back at where I was when I saw the original 300… ya know, about the famous last stand of a group of ancient Spartans who faced an army of overwhelming numbers.

It was a Friday evening one day a few years back when I went to the movie theater with some buddies after an exhausting week.

I was running two different businesses at the time and this was a rare moment for me to unwind.

Settled in my comfy chair, my hands wrapped around a massive tub of buttered popcorn and a gigantic cup of soda, when the movie began.

(Hey, I was feeling a bit depressed.)

The movie blew me away.

Since I was a history major in college, I knew a little about the Spartan battle at Thermopylae that was shown in the movie.

And also the about the upbringing of the Spartans.

Those guys really were the ultimate badasses of the ancient world.

Everyone was in awe of their prowess.

And how did they get that way?

I can tell you how they DIDN’T get that way: they didn’t take steroids, they didn’t do fancy workouts on isolation machines, and they didn’t follow some crazy fad diet, or the theory of the week.

No, the Spartans become the most feared military machine in the ancient world because of their simple approach to fitness, battle, and life.

That’s what the word “Spartan” has come to mean, right?

Simple.

Stripped Down.

Nothing fancy but what works.

It occurred to me right then in the movie theater that I had been overcomplicating my efforts to create the body I had always dreamed about.

That’s when the seed of A Spartan Rises was planted.

Took many more years of trial and error in the “laboratory” of the gym. This time I focused on the simple compound exercises that worked major muscle groups. I focused on just getting stronger.

Because to build muscle, you don’t focus on building muscle.

You focus on building strength – CORRECTLY.

Using “The Spartan Strength Ladder”, a unique way of approaching training  that will completely revolutionize your strength gains, giving you unlimited motivation and the will to complete your journey.

Because let’s face it — transforming your body IS a journey. When you choose to build a Spartan body,

you’re making a choice for a different way of life. It’s a different way of looking at yourself.

It’s a life where you don’t have to be ashamed of what you see in the mirror. Where you can stand

before your mate and your children with pride, knowing that you are setting an example of what it

means to be a man.

It’s the kind of pride that doesn’t magically appear overnight … and it’s not something you can buy.

I can’t even give it to you.

Only YOU can forge it.

But I CAN provide you with a proven path for that journey, one that has worked for hundreds of guys.

Workout Lies Men Tell Themselves…

I hear them over and over again.

Yea sure sometimes the wording is a bit different…

But the meaning behind the words is the same.

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

They snake their way into my e-mail day inbox in & out.

Lies men tell themselves as to why they’re not stronger or have a physique they’re proud to display at the beach.

I’m a student

I don’t have extra money

I’m busy with work

Life is crazy right now, but next month I’m starting

*sigh*

Here’s the real scoop.

There is ONE and ONLY ONE reason a guy does NOT have a body stacked with lean muscle.

Because…

He has CHOSEN not to make it a priority in his life.

End of story.

Does that mean he’s a terrible human being?

Hardly.

It simply means this man has DECIDED taking care of his strength & vitality is not important.

The problem arises when he LIES to himself with one of countless victim excuses.

Take money.

Soooo silly to say I don’t have money & that’s why I’m not in shape (Because I can’t buy the program, gym membership, etc..)

Simply not true.

He could cut back on expenses (ie – drop the six packs of beer & coffee for a month), work extra hours, hop on Craigslist to find some odd jobs.

The possibilities are literally ENDLESS.

Is it easy?

Not at first… but it does get easier as you stick with it.

So no, it’s not because he doesn’t have money.

It’s because he hasn’t CHOSEN to make himself a priority.

I find that choice of thought strange because the bigger and stronger you are the greater helpful impact you can have on this world and the people in your presence.

Your strength is the tide that rises all ships.

Make it a priority today, go here next:
