The Biggest Lie in Health

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about freedom.

How liberating it is to know we can carve and shape our own destiny.

In the gym, the office, home… wherever.

This weekend I was savoring the rush of true freedom – zipping around on my CBR motorcycle with the Rockies at my back.

Nothing beats the open, windy road.

Yes there is a risk riding.

A potential cost of life, injury, limb…

But there is a cost to not riding as well.

There is ALWAYS a cost… to everything.

For some reason people forget this.

They mistakenly believe if they remain in “stand still” mode they can’t make a mistake and thus there is no cost.

But this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Doing nothing costs you big time.

It could be an opportunity cost – missing out on a great new career because you’ve chosen to remain stuck with your OK one.

Perhaps a consequence cost, like finding out your actions have pivoted your life on a totally new trajectory that you had no intention of following.

I had the pleasant experience of re-visiting this one first hand.

But… that’s life and you’re better off in the long run accepting it instead of trying to foolishly ignore it.

Especially when it comes to your health.

Every item of food you place into your mouth HAS A COST.

Every skipped gym session HAS A COST.

Every 5 hour sleep night HAS A COST.

Cost doesn’t mean negative… perhaps you’re OK with the pleasure of stuffing down donuts daily in exchange for a lifespan reduction of 10 years.

That’s for YOU to decide.

Not the government, not me, nobody.

Just you.

Just don’t wake up one day and make that decision too late.

The time is now.

Get it.
